Hose EndsIf you have a Hose, these types of hydraulic hose end fittings are needed to make that hose function in an application. Even a discharge hose needs at least one hose end. If a clamp isn't used to secure the hose end to the hose, a ferrule is used. Brass ferrules are common in low pressure industrial hoses. The ferrules and tools to install them are found here.
