Flareless Compression FittingsThe cutting ring fitting was invented by Ermeto in Germany in the 1930s. Hannifin acquired Ermeto and introduced the fittings to the US. Today these fittings are standardized in ISO 8434. Commonly known as compression fittings, flareless fittings are used in medium to high pressure applications. They are made up of a nut, ferrule and the fitting body. The nut and ferrule slide over a tube with an OD that matches the ID of the receiving fitting. Flareless hydraulic fittings do not require a flaring operation and are used on medium to heavy walled tubing. The Fittings Configuration Follows the Order Found in the Description of the Individual Parts.
